Gov. Walker to speak at Lincoln Day Dinner on campus
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The College Republicans at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, along with the Grant County Republican Party, will be hosting this year’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner. Governor Scott Walker will be the keynote speaker.
The event will be held Sunday, March 2 in Velzy Commons in Ullsvik Hall. The social hour will begin at 12:30 p.m., with dinner to follow at 1:30 p.m. Walker is expected to talk at approximately 2 p.m. The cost to attend the event is $20 per person and the registration deadline is Feb. 21.
Republican candidates for office have been invited to speak as well.
The College Republicans includes a group of 20-30 members. Caitlin Thomson, chairwoman of the College Republicans, will serve as the co-master of ceremonies for the event.
