UW-Platteville to welcome new students

New Student Registration kicks off Monday, June 16. During New Student Registration days, new incoming students and their parents have the opportunity to learn more about the transition to UW-Platteville. Students will register for classes with the assistance of faculty, staff and peer advisors. New Student Registration weeks are scheduled for June 16–20, June 23–27 and July 14–18. Benvenuto's to host Sunflower Oil Day

Benvenuto’s, located in Platteville, will make a specialty oil from the oil produced from the UW-Platteville Sunflower Project. The oil will be featured at each table for the lunch and dinner hours on Monday, June 9. If diners mention the sunflower oil to their sever, 10 percent of the sales will go towards the sunflower project and other sustainable and renewable projects at UW-Platteville. 

The UW-Platteville Sunflower Project launched in summer 2013, when six acres of sunflowers were planted west of Menards in Platteville. For more information, visit the website.
