Concert concludes Discover the Arts program

The Discover the Arts program that was held on campus recently was capped off with a concert on Friday, July 18 at the Community Evangelical Free Church in Platteville.

The UW-Platteville Office of Multicultural Student Affairs organized the program and the concert, which brought together middle school students from the state and the region.

Various musicians performed for those in attendance. Partygoers even had the opportunity to get their photo taken on the red carpet.

Visit the Discover the Arts program website for additional information.

Reflections on this year's Campus Read

The Campus Read Program, established in 2012, is designed to engage the campus and surrounding community in a shared reading activity which will facilitate discussion and learning both inside and outside the classroom. The selection for the 2014-15 academic year is "I am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban."

Hear some relection on this year's selection in the video, below, from Dr. Mittie N. Den Herder, provost and vice chancellor for Academic Affairs.
