Clay Club and art students hold clay sale May 7-9
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Clay Club and art students along with advisor Bruce Howdle, sculptor and UW-Platteville art lecturer, invite students, staff, faculty and Platteville community members to the clay sale Tuesday, May 7-Thursday, May 9 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in front of the Art Building on campus.
“The students have a chance to profit from their art which can make for excellent Mothers Day gifts,” said Howdle. “Twenty-thrity percent of the profit from the sale assists in bringing artists to speak to our classes.”
The profit also aids in funding for UW-Platteville students to attend the Sculptural Objects, Fictional Art and Design Conference in Chicago, Ill. The conference is a four-day gallery that presents masterworks of contemporary and modern art and design.
Howdle also encourages customers to explore the showcased student artwork within the building.
