Campus Visitations at UW-Platteville
PLATTEVILLE - "What college should be," that is what becoming a "Pioneer" or a student at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is all about.
Every year hundreds of prospective students visit the UWP campus and this year will be no different. Whether one chooses to participate in a campus visit or a Pioneer Preview day, UWP and its tour guides will have a fun-filled day planned.
Campus visits offer a variety of activities for prospective students and their families. A scheduled campus visit may include a campus tour given by student tour guides, video presentation, meeting with an admission advisor, interviewing with a faculty member (in your interested major), lunch on campus and optional meetings with athletic coaches or special interest areas. The UWP Visitor Center offers tours throughout the school year on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
For those prospective students looking for a different or large group experience, attending a Pioneer Preview day is the way to go. Activities during a Pioneer Preview day include a continental breakfast, a one-hour campus tour, service fair providing information and answers about the student services on campus, a panel offering students' perspective on life at UWP and meetings with the respective deans or faculty members of the three UWP academic colleges. Pioneer Preview days for fall, 2003, are Thursday, Oct. 30, Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 8.
