John Gallo of Rolls-Royce to speak at UWP
PLATTEVILLE- John Gallo, a University of Wisconsin-Platteville industrial technology alumnus, executive vice president of business operations for Rolls-Royce Corp. and instrument rated private pilot, is flying into Platteville on Friday, April 3. He will present to the UWP community and the public at 1 p.m. in the television studio on the ground floor of Pioneer Tower on the UWP campus. This event is part of the 100th anniversary celebration of the UWP Department of Industrial Studies.
Gallo's presentation, Leadership in a Rapidly Changing World, will address what he did upon gradation from UWP, his secrets on leadership principles and examples of how those principles have worked in his career.
As the executive vice president, Gallo directs the efforts of the integrated supply chain and associated support groups for design, parts production, engine assembly, logistics, operations information technology, business improvement, quality and manufacturing engineering.
Rolls-Royce is a global manufacturer of integrated power systems for use on land, sea and air. Gallo works in the Indianapolis office. Most commonly recognized for their luxury cars, the company also produces engines for jets and marine vehicles for civilian and defense use, as well as power turbines.
