UWP students featured in Verona Area High School art show
PLATTEVILLE - Everyone is invited to attend the Works of University of Wisconsin-Platteville Ceramic and Sculpture Students Art Show at the Verona Area High School on 300 Richard Street in Verona. The art show features ceramics, metalwork, stonework and other types of sculpture. Attendance is free and the show is open during regular school hours. Appointments can be made to view the show outside of regular school hours if needed.
"This is a real strong show with a wide variety of impressive work," Randy Becker, VAHS art instructor, said. "UWP students get a broad range of experience, because Bruce Howdle teaches a lot of different styles."
Charles Dreis, UWP art student, is exhibiting six sculptures at the show. "I exhibited to get my name out and let people see my work," he said.
A closing reception will take place at VAHS on Friday, Feb. 27, fro 5 to 7 p.m.
