UWP presents two Village Series programs in November

PLATTEVILLE - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Multicultural Educational Resource Center will be hosting two presentations this November as part of their Village Series program. The first presentation is set for Nov. 5, entitled "Understanding White Privilege." It will take place from 11 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m.

The second Village Series presentation is set for Nov. 19 and will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. This presentation will focus on minority relations. Both presentations will take place in the Platteville East and West Rooms of the Pioneer Student Center on the UWP campus.

According to Carlos Wiley, director of MERC, the Village Series is used to "bring more light to everyone." He states that the programs are created to teach and encourage people to be well rounded and able to work in a diverse environment.
