Ullsvik Hall ribbon cutting and open house at UWP

PLATTEVILLE- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has scheduled a ribbon cutting and program Tuesday, May 13 at 4:30 p.m. for Ullsvik Hall. An open house is also scheduled that day in Ullsvik Hall from 4 to 6 p.m. Self-guided tours will be available during that time.

The renovation project of Ullsvik Hall began in June of 2006 and was completed in time for departments and offices to move in during December 2007 and January 2008. Classes have been conducted there in the 10 technology-enhanced classrooms since the beginning of the spring 2008 semester.

"I think it is a tremendous asset to the campus, a great front door for the university and expands our academic core," said Barb Daus, special assistant to the chancellor. "At night go out and stand at the north end of the keyhole adjacent to Hickory Street and look at it, it's a sight to see."

Anyone with questions about the event may contact Daus at (608) 342-1282 or daus@uwplatt.edu.
