UWP Criminal Justice Career Day at set for March 10 and 11

PLATTEVILLE - The criminal justice department of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville will be hosting the 35th annual Criminal Justice Career Day on March 10 and 11.

The event will kick-off with a keynote speaker, Brian C. Jayne, on March 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Velzy Commons at Ullsvik Hall. Jayne, a graduate of UWP’s criminal justice program, is the co-author of several books and the former dean of Reid College.

The event continues on March 11 with more than 100 criminal justice agencies present in Velzy Commons. Agency representatives are available for students to ask questions, network with and obtain more information from about different career opportunities in the field of criminal justice.

Joy Hammond, assistant district attorney of Milwaukee County, will be speaking at 11 a.m. in the Harry and Laura Nohr Art Gallery.
