UWP Pioneer Players to present Tony Award winning play 'Glengarry Glen Ross'

PLATTEVILLE- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneer Players will be presenting "Glengarry Glen Ross" from Feb. 21 through Feb. 23, under the direction of UWP theater professor, Ann Farrelly.

This 1984 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play by David Marnet centers around two days in the lives of four Chicago real estate agents who push the boundaries of ethics and morality in order to sell undesirable real estate to prospective clients who are not interested in buying.

The play is a stark and unflattering look at the sinister actions and questionable motivations of people in a money driven society who are only looking out for themselves. The performances are only recommended for mature audiences and the play contains strong language.

All three performances are set to begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts on the UWP campus. Tickets will be $7 for general admission, $6 for UWP faculty and staff members and $5 for senior citizens, individuals under the age of 18 and UWP students with a valid student ID. For ticket information, contact the UWP Box Office at (608) 342-1298.
