Two UWP online degree programs named 'Best Buys'
PLATTEVILLE - Two of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's online degree programs have been named "Best Buys" by GetEducated.com, a highly respected clearinghouse for distance education programs.
In 2006, GetEducated.com conducted its first survey of 26 regionally accredited online graduate degree programs in the area of criminal justice, law and legal studies, seeking colleges that offer a high quality distance degree to a national audience at a reasonable cost. As a result of their study, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville has been named to GetEducated.com's list of "Top 15 Best Buys in Criminal Justice, Law and Legal Studies."
UWP's undergraduate distance education business administration program was also recognized, receiving an honorable mention on GetEducated.com's 2006 list of "Top Best Buys in Business and Management Degrees." The ranking was based on a biennial survey of 78 regionally accredited distance learning programs that offer degrees in business and management. The schools chosen had tuition rates significantly lower than the national average for similarly accredited distance degrees.
