Chinua Hawk to perform at Pioneer Crossing
PLATTEVILLE - Chinua Hawk will be performing at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneer Crossing, located in the Student Center, on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.
Though his music has been described as "soul-like," this New Jersey native says his music is for everyone. "I listen to everything, all kinds of music, so it comes through in my writing," he said. "My show is very simple, and what you see is what you get...I'm not a dancer. I'm a storyteller and a dreamer. I share these things with you onstage. It's just that simple," he said.
Hawk has released two CDs, "The Beautiful Things" (formerly "Limited Edition") and "Sunflower."
The concert is open to the public and is free for campus and community members. For more information, contact Lisa McLean at Campus Programming and Relations at (608) 342-1491.
