Transfer agreement reached between programs
PLATTEVILLE- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is pleased to announce the establishment of a transfer agreement between the graduate project management programs at UW-Platteville and the University of California at Davis Extension. Effective immediately, students who have earned UC-Davis Extension's certificate in project management may transfer a total of 12 graduate credits into UW-Platteville's online Master of Science in Project Management program.
According to the terms of the agreement, the Davis Extension certificate must be completed prior to seeking admittance into UW-Platteville's program. A grade of 'B' or better must be earned in each course to be eligible for transfer and students must meet the requirements for enrollment in UW-Platteville's graduate programs.
The new agreement was established to benefit both schools, notes Bill Haskins, project management program coordinator at UW-Platteville. "Students in the UC-Davis program receive top-level graduate training in project management with a firm focus on project-specific skills," he explains. "Many of those same students find an on-going need or desire to continue their professional development. UW-Platteville is the perfect choice for such students, providing a wider look at graduate business training with additional high-level project management education opportunities in the form of a master's degree from one of the most prestigious university systems in the world."
UW-Platteville is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The school has been a pioneer in the field of distance education, with 25 years experience meeting the needs of nontraditional students. UW-Platteville is a Global Registered Educational Provider of the Project Management Institute (PMI(r)) and all courses are designed to follow the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
