Lecture Provides Eating Disorder Awareness at UWP

PLATTEVILLE- Eating disorders are a serious issue on college campuses nationwide. The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is taking measures to increase awareness about this serious disorder. Campus Programming and Relations (CPR) is putting on a lecture, "EVA Eaten Alive-Eating Disorders", on March 2 from 8 to 10 p.m. in Velzy North of the Ullsvik Center.

The lecture will center around a one-woman act dealing with eating disorder scenarios, preformed by Era Van Dok. Those who attend the free lecture will also have the opportunity to meet with a counselor who will be on hand to take any questions about the various eating disorders focused on in the lecture.

CPR event manager Lisa McLean feels that, "People should attend this event because it is an interesting way to provide heightened awareness about eating disorders--they're not just for girls."
