Great turnout at IBRC open house on Nov. 19

PLATTEVILLE - The International Business Resource Center has relocated to 435 Gardner Hall on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus. To celebrate this event the Platteville Chamber of Commerce held a business after hours gathering at Clare Bank, prior to the open house that was held at the new location in Gardner Hall. Turnout at the Nov. 19 open house showed great interest from UWP and community attendees. "The relocation of the center allows for greater visibility, additional processing capability, and easier access to our resources, " said Louis Nzegwu, executive director of the center.

The IBRC's resources were on display and attendees had an opportunity to learn about the functions of the IBRC.

UW-Platteville's IBRC was established in July 2001 as a resource for international business education, community development, and research in southwest Wisconsin. The IBRC provides a wide range of services to help students, faculty and the business community develop and strengthen their international understanding and economic competitiveness. All international business assistance services of the IBRC are provided with small to medium size companies in mind.

Funding for the IBRC programs is provided under a grant from the Business and International Education Program of the U.S. Department of Education.
