Equipment Checkout

The ITS Help Desk provides faculty, staff, and students access to laptops and headsets as well as a variety of audio-visual equipment to support instruction. Our goal is to serve the entire university as effectively as possible.  In order to do this, we ask that faculty and staff who have access to departmentally-owned equipment use that whenever possible. We also do not take any semester-long orders for equipment.

Loan periods

Student laptops are loaned for 3 days at a time.  All remaining devices are available for up to 7 days.

To reserve equipment, contact the ITS Help Desk at 608.342.1400 or You may also stop by the office on first floor of Karrmann Library.

Additional services

  • Equipment set-up and take-down available upon request
  • Training on media equipment or technology-enhanced classroom equipment may be requested through the Help Desk or the online Training Request form.
