Hao Chen is an Associate Professor of imaging media in the UW-Platteville Department of Media Studies. He graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with his Ph.D. in Communication. Trained as a human communication researcher, he is extremely interested in studying the roles of different kinds of communications in daily life. Among these communications, the graphic communication fascinates him most. He dedicates his time to the study of digital graphic and multimedia communication and to training himself to be a digital artist. In his leisure time, he likes to read design magazines, art history books and graphic novels to broaden his understanding of imaging.
