This module showed you how to search the Karrmann Library online catalog. Now you should be able to:

  • know that the library catalog contains more than books
  • find books on a topic using a Simple or Advanced Search
  • find books by title, author, or subject heading
  • find periodicalsPeriodicals are publications issued at least twice a year, including journals, magazines, and newspapers by using a Journal/Magazine/Newspaper Title search
  • identify the location of books or journals in the library
  • find an item placed on reserve using a Course Reserve search
  • request items through UBUniversal Borrowing is a service that allows borrowing of materials from libraries in the UW system and ILLInterlibrary Loan is a service for acquiring materials not available at Karrmann Library
  • locate and renew materials online through your patron account
