- Scottish Women Poets of the Romantic Period Archive of 60 volumes from 47 poets. Web resources, criticism and biographical essays are to be added regularly.
- Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600-2000 Contains 40+ document projects that interpret and present documents concerning women's involvement in social movements, most of which are not otherwise available online.
- Women's Studies International Includes citations and abstracts drawn from a variety of women's studies databases.

- The Journal of International Women's Studies "A publication that provides a forum for scholars, activists, and students to explore the relationship between feminist theory and various forms of organizing. The journal seeks both multidisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives, and invites submissions in the form of scholarly articles, student papers and literary pieces. Through its diverse collection, the journal aims to create an opportunity for building bridges across the conventional divides of scholarship and activism; "western" and "third world" feminisms; professionals and students; men and women. Toward this end, the editors encourage responses to previous submissions in forthcoming editions, facilitated by the journal's on-line format."

- Feminist Periodicals: a Current Listing of Contents: A table of contents service that reproduces the contents pages from around 150 scholarly and grassroots women-focused periodicals. V. 1, no. 1 1981 - V. 27, no. 4 2007 can be found in the Reference Indexes on the Main floor of the library. Beginning with V. 28, no. 1 2008 it can be found online.

- The Feminist Majority Foundation Online "The Foundation's mission is to create innovative, cutting-edge research, educational programs, and strategies to further women's equality and empowerment, to reduce violence toward women, to increase the health and economic well-being of women, and to eliminate discrimination of all kinds."
- University of Wisconsin Library System Women's Studies Librarian's Office A comprehensive site maintained by Women's Studies librarian Phyllis Holman Weisbard at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Includes links to on-line newsletters and periodicals.
- WSSLINKS: Women & Gender Studies Web Sites "Provide access to a wide range of resources in support of Women's Studies." Developed and maintained by the Women's Studies Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries.

- American Women through Time This site is divided into four main sections; Beginnings, 19th Century, 20th Century and Other Timelines. Each section includes a timeline that links specific events with relevant online sources, such as diaries and letters, photograph collections, and lectures by historians.
- The Feminist Theory Website "Provides research materials and information for students, activists, and scholars interested in women's conditions and struggles around the world." Organized by fields within feminism, National and Ethnic feminisms, and Individual feminists.
- A Guide to uncovering women's history in archival collections A useful compilation of links of Web pages of archives, libraries and other repositories that have primary source materials by or about women. Organized geographically by state.
- Institute for Women's Policy Research "The Institute for Women's Policy Research conducts rigorous research and disseminates its findings to address the needs of women, promote public dialogue, and strengthen families, communities, and societies. IWPR focuses on issues of poverty and welfare, employment and earnings, work and family issues, health and safety, and women's civic and political participation.
- Library of Congress - American Women Provides information on Women's culture. Includes manuscripts, recorded sounds, photographs, and folklore collections.
- Queer Resources Directory Contains 25,488 files on gay and lesbian issues. Can be searched by subject heading or tree-map of text directories.
- WAVE: Women's Audiovisuals in English A database created and maintained by the University of Wisconsin System Women's Studies Librarian's Office staff that indexes and describes documenatry, experimental, and feature film and video productions by and about women. Each record has a link to a web file with contact information on the distibutors, including links to distributor websites for those that have them.
- Women working, 1800-1930 This site offers documents related to women's employment in the US during the industrial revolution. Available material ranges from government reports to relevant personal papers, advertisement circulars and periodical articles as well as thousands of images.
Statistics
- The Status of Women in the States This report is designed to inform citizens about the progress of women in their state relative to women in other states, to men, and to the nation as a whole. It covers politics, economics, health rights, and demographics. Produced every two years.
Women's Organizations/Agencies
- About-Face A media literacy volunteer organization focused on the impact mass media has on the physical, mental and emotional well being of women and girls. Through practical and activist methods, they challenge our culture's overemphasis on physical appearance, encourage critical thinking about the media, and work to engender positive body-esteem in girls and women of all ages, sizes, races and backgrounds.
- Global Fund for Women An international organization which focuses on female human rights.
- League of Women Voters Information on U.S. policy issues and local, state & national candidates.
- National Organization for Women (NOW) The largest women's rights organization in the U.S. dedicated to political activism. This site provides current awareness to legislative activities dealing with women's issues.
- National Women's Studies Association "NWSA supports and promotes feminist/womanist teaching, learning, research, and professional and community service at the pre-K through post-secondary levels and serves as a locus of information about the inter-disciplinary field of Women's Studies for those outside the profession."
- Society of Women Engineers U.S. organization helping women advance and develop their engineering careers. See Region H for midwest SWE chapter information.
- Wisconsin Women's Council works to identify barriers that prevent women in Wisconsin from participating fully and equally in all aspects of life and works closely with public, private and not-for-profit groups to develop long-term solutions to inequities. The Council is Wisconsin's statutory commission on the status of women. Its bi-partisan Board is appointed by the Governor and Legislative Leaders.
- WITI: Women in Technology International "WITI's goal is to empower its constituents by providing access to people and content which are significantly relevant to the issues faced by women in technology."
- Women's Bureau, U.S. Department of Labor The U.S. Department of Labor Women's Bureau, established by Congress in 1920, is the only federal agency mandated to represent working women in the public policy process. Its mission is to promote the welfare of wage-earning women, improve their working conditions, increase their efficiency, and advance their opportunities for profitable employment

- African American Women Writers of the 19th Century Full text of works from the New York Public Library's Schomburg Collection.
- A Celebration of Women Writers The goal of this site is to promote awareness of the breadth and variety of women's writing. Organized by author and various categories.
- Spinsters Ink A feminist publishing house "committed to publishing works by women writing from the periphery: fat women, Jewish women, lesbians, old women, poor women, rural women, women of color, women who are writing books that help make the best in our lives more possible."
