  2. ) Using the Catalog explains features of the library’s online catalog, including how to renew books online and how to search the UW-System through the catalog to find additional resources.
  3. ) Choosing a Topic demonstrates a method for narrowing or expanding the way you think about a topic.
  4. ) Finding Articles explains how to search for articles in online databases.

All of the modules also have quizzes at the end if you want to test yourself.

Government Info Made Easy to Find!

The official U.S. government portal for public access to government information and services, USA.gov promises to be easy to navigate.

Visitors find four tabs along the top of the webpage:
For Citizens, For Businesses and Nonprofits, For Government Employees, and For Visitors to the U.S.

For example, within the "For Citizens" tab, researchers find fourteen categories of links to information. Under the "Benefits and Grants" section, visitors find links to information on adoption assistance, disability resources, renter’s assistance, unemployment insurance, or government jobs.

Need assistance finding government information? Stop by or call Charlene Ingebritsen in the library’s Government Publications Department on the third floor, 342-1758.

Click "Government Publications" from the library’s homepage.
