Badger: This site "is the State of Wisconsin's information server and a starting point to guide you to the many resources available from Wisconsin state agencies, departments, and other government branches." This is an important site to use when teaching about Wisconsin government or when in need of general information about the Badger state.
Black History: Exploring African-American Issues on the Web: Activites for teaching about Black History Month or other African-American units for the classroom are located at this Internet site.
Geography Links: Many useful links to other Geography sites are listed here.
History Links: Links to Women's History, U.S. Historical Documents, historical museums, and other interesting historical sites are locted on this page.
NCSS Online: This site, the homepage for the National Council for the Social Studies, has information for educators, parents, and kids. All three areas have interesting Internet links, but the educators and kids sections are particularly good.
Native American Sites: Developed by a Native American librarian, this site provides access to home pages of individual Native Americans and Nations, and to other sites that provide solid information about American Indians.
The State Historical Society of Wisconsin - School Services: This site is designed for both K-12 teachers and students. Although it is still under development, it should be of interest to fourth grade teachers and students and Wisconsin history teachers.
Uncle Sam for Kids: This site, "a government information page for kids only," is filled with resources about the White House, the Presidents, and other facts about American History. In addition, there are suggested sites to look at for information about other countries, endangered species, fun with maps, space exploration, and more.
United Nations Cyber SchoolBus: A site allowing students to learn about the United Nations and the countries assosciated with the UN. Lesson plans, quizzes, and resources for teaching global issues are all found within this site.
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum: This site provides guidelines for teaching about the Holocaust, history of the Holocaust, archive of historic photographs, and much more information about the museum and this period of history.
