- A series of country maps taken from The World FactBook.
- Emaps (HUD)
- State, county and census tract maps showing public housing and environmental risks. Layers indicate air, water, or solid waste pollution in public housing projects or brownfields. Colors can be used to show census data (race, education, income, age of housing, housing value or rent).
- Geodata.gov
- Geodata.gov is a portal for finding and using federal, state and local geographic data and maps.
- Geographic Names Information System (USGS)
- Search geographic names by name or by feature type (parks, schools, streams etc.) county, latitude, population size. Output provides the name, latitude and longitude, map. Examples: identify names of all parks in Washtenaw County, all schools in Wayne County, or all cities in U.S. with the name of Portland and over 50,000 population. - LANDSAT7 (USGS)
- Provides daily high-resolution image information of the Earth's surface from an altitude of 438 miles above the Earth. The LANDSAT World-Wide Reference System catalogs the world's landmass into scenes 115 miles wide by 106 miles long.
- National Mapping Information (USGS)
- Includes a map finder for topographic maps and aereal photo maps that may be viewed online using Microsoft TerraServer, MapMart, Maptech MapServer or TopoZone. Watershed and demographic information is also available from this site.

- Digital maps from seven historical categories including military battles and campaigns, cities and towns, transportation and communication maps.

- National Atlas of the United States (USGS)
- Determine geographic location by zooming in on map of the U.S. Layers can be superimposed to show roads, parks, railroads, cities, volcanoes, and other geographic features.

- TIGER Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing System
- Contains links to TIGER and other online maps and cartographic resources from the U.S. Census Bureau that access and plot various demographic information.

- An online guide to understanding and using topographic maps which includes information on scale, symbols, and features of USGS topographic maps.
- Wisconsin State Cartographer's Office
- Provides information about most every kind of map in Wisconsin, as well as a great deal of background information on the basics of surveying, geodetic control, satellite imagery, photogrammetry and orthophotography.

- Includes maps, records, and reports that provide interpretations, recommendations, and basic data for resource, land-use, and environmental management.

- United Nations Cartographic Section
- General political maps by region of the world. Detailed maps on UN peacekeeping missions with pull-down menus describing the mission and all UN deployments.
- Perry-Castaņeda Library Map Collection(Univ.Texas)
- Includes extensive links to city, state, and national maps from around the world. Other links access historical and weather maps, and a cartographic reference section with information from map guides, gazetteers, distance calculators, and time zone maps.
