Strategic Plan Lecture Series: Ramsey Musallam

The "Road to Excellence" Strategic Plan Speaker Series kicks off on Feb. 17 with the presenter chosen by the Provide an Outstanding Education champions group.

Ramsey Musallam is a chemistry teacher at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep in San Francisco. His mission is “to meaningfully integrate multimedia into a hands-on, inquiry-based learning cycle” and to empower other educators to do the same. Musallam is a vocal advocate for tools like flipteaching, tabcasting, video podcasting and screencasting in the classroom. He runs the education blog Cycles of Learning.

He will do a public presentation entitled "Sparking Curiosity: A Pedagogical and Cognitive Approach" at 9-10:30 a.m.; a faculty workshop "An Inquiry/Pedagogy-Based Approach to the 'Flipped Classroom' " at 2-4 p.m. and a student presentation "Squeezing the Most Out of Your College Experience" at 6-7 p.m.
