New Search Features Go Live in Online Phonebook

Searching UW-Platteville’s online phonebook just got better.  Effective January 8, Pioneers can search for an employee using “department” on the Advanced Search tab as well as common criteria like “first name,” “last name”, and “status”.  Searching only the name of a particular department produces a list of that department’s employees.

Preferred name is another new criterion on Advanced Search.  If you know a Pioneer who goes by a name other than a legal name, and that person has requested preferred name be displayed, you can search for that preferred name in the phonebook. Details on how to request your own preferred name are posted in the ITS Knowledge Base.

In addition, a Department Search tab has been added to the phonebook, listing the full name of all campus departments and offices (no acronyms) in alphabetical order with phone number, fax number (where applicable), and email address. No more surfing through the website to find what you need – it’s all in one easy-to-use place!

What do I do if I find an error in the online phonebook?
Corrections to the Department Search tab should be sent to University Information and Communication (UIC) at publications@uwplatt.edu.

Employee information, including department designation, must be corrected through Human Resources.  Students may update their directory information using PASS.
