With Phase 1 of the Business Intelligence project complete, the Campus Reporting & Analysis team is now focusing on adding additional functionality to existing dashboards, adding new dashboards, and continuing the steps necessary for a gradual transition away from Data Mart.  The to-do list includes the addition of Admissions & Student Records subject areas to increase usefulness and effectiveness of BI, the addition of many dashboards, author training in the near future,  and duplicating reportable areas from PASS that were not delivered in Phase 1, such as the Textbook Center, PAC, and Campus Police, to name a few.

Two Level 1 training workshops are scheduled in September and October.  These sessions target employees who need to run reports from existing queries (consumers).  Training for those who need to create their own reports (authors) will be offered in the next few months.  Check the OIT Training Calendar for full details.

Not sure whether BI can help your department?  Attend one of these brown bag information sessions:

  • Tuesday, Sept 17 from noon to 1:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct 16 from 11:00 a.m. to noon

Both sessions will be held in the Computer Conference Room inside the Bears Den in the Markee Pioneer Student Center.  No registration is required.  Bring your lunch and get your questions answered!

If you have questions regarding Data Mart, Business Intelligence, and/or the transition in general, you may send them at any time to the OIT Help Desk at where they will be assigned to appropriate system personnel.
