The Gilman Scholarship Program provides up to $5,000 to U.S. citizen undergraduates from two-and four- year institutions. It aims to support students who have been traditionally underrepresented in study abroad. Must receive a Federal Pell Grant to be eligible.

From $12,000 - $26,000. Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship (3-6 months) and Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarship. Club deadlines vary from March to mid-July for study beginning the next academic year.

The National Security Education Program (NSEP) is a unique scholarship opportunity for U.S. undergraduates wishing to study abroad. NSEP awards scholarships to American students for study of world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Middle East). On-Campus application deadline is February 1.

UWP Study Abroad Grant (Fulltime degree seeking UWP students only)
Application for International Study Grant/Scholarship
All full time UWP students may apply for a $600 scholarship for semester or academic year programs. Wisconsin residents with demonstrated financial need may qualify for up to $1,500. Wisconsin residents with financial need may qualify for a $300 grant for short-term programs.

$1,000 scholarship for students with 56 – 90 hours of academic credit completed at the time of application and at least one year remaining at home institution after returning. For summer, semester, and academic year. Minimum GPA 3.5.

ASIA

Freeman Asia Scholarship http://www.iie.org/freeman-ASIA
$3,000-$7,000 to study abroad in Asia. The Freeman Foundation, in the Institute of International Education now administers the Freeman-ASIA Award Program in order to give more American undergraduate students the means to study in Asia. Awards range from $3,000-$7,000.

AUSTRALIA

Engineering in Australia Incentive Scholarship Australia Scholarship Form
$2000 for full-time UWP engineering students who wish to participate in the Engineering Program in Newcastle, Australia during the Spring of 2007.

GERMANY

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) http://www.daad.org
Administers a variety of scholarships; provides financial support to over 50,000 highly-qualified students and faculty per year for international research and study.

FIJI

Fiji Study Abroad Program In Biology Scholarship
$2000 to Study Abroad in Fiji Spring 2007. The Student must be a Biology Major enrolled full-time at UW-Platteville in the semester preceding the international experience.

ITALY

JAPAN

The Bridging Scholarship offers a stipend of $2,500 (for students on semester-long programs) or $4,000 (for students on academic year programs). Undergraduate students majoring in any field of study are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Japanese language study is not a prerequisite.

SPAIN

Spanish Association of the Midwest Scholarship Spain Scholarship
Available for those studying Spanish language, literature or humanities.
Must be in Good academic standing and currently enrolled at a Midwestern (IL, IN, MI, WI) university/college and demonstrate superior achievement in Spanish studies.

Spanish American Institute (SAI) Scholarship (For Fulltime degree-seeking UWP Students only)
$1650 scholarships available for WI / MN residents for a semester or academic year of study at the Spanish American Institute in Seville, Spain.
