DIRECTOR OF RETENTION INITIATIVES AND ACADEMIC SUCCESS
Karen McLeer, Ph.D., is the Director of Retention Initiatives and Academic Success, which means that she is always thinking about making the student experience as positive as possible. She coordinates the “learning” portion of the LLC’s, working closely with faculty advisors to make strong connections between the classroom experience and the living community. Prior to her work here at UW-Platteville, she was a professor of English and Associate Dean at UW-Richland, so attention to the individual student experience has always been important to her work.
