Zero Emissions
Tractor Pull

The Department of Industrial Studies
encourages coed teams to participate.

• Only one individual may operate/propel the vehicle at one time.
• No external storage device or internal charging system may be used.
• Only the motive force of the individual riding the tractor may be used to
  propel the tactor and pull the sled.
• Tractors may use any configuration of tire or tread to propel the tractor.
• Tractor must have a draw bar or horizontal plate welded or bolted to the rear of tractor,
  with a 1" hole two inches from the edge. A shackle pin placed through hole will
  attached tractor via chain to weighted sled.
• Draw bar or plate may be no more than 12" from the ground.
• Any tractor deemed to have insufficient plate strength will be disqualified.
  1/4" thick steel plate is strongly recommended.
  Anything 1/8" or less is considered insufficient and will automativally be disqualified.
• Every tractor must have either:
  
  1. Roll cage surrounding driver, or
  2. Wheelie-bars extending behind driver
• Transmission systems may use only direct-drive systems:
  Gears, chains, driveshafts, hydraulic transmission systems are acceptable.
  Generators/electric motors, flywheels, storage systems are not acceptable.
• Only one driver will operate the tractor at one time.
• Every driver will wear the following safety equipment:
  1. Safety glasses, and
  2. Full motorcycle helmet with strap
• Three different team members MUST operate tractor.
• In the case of a tie, one member from each team will be drawn at random.
  
• A two minute pull-off against other team will take place.
• Each team pulls for two minutes each until one team has traversed the greatest distance.
