From my own experience, albeit anecdotal, I have seen that when a flipped model is implemented strategically, students adapt to the new learning model and recognize its advantage in preparing them for future learning. Another feature is now available on the UW-Platteville Desire2Learn course management system. Instructors and students are now able to turn on Notifications to receive a periodic email summary of activity or instant notifications as things happen in the course. The activity summary content and frequency can be adjusted in the Notifications settings which can be found by clicking on your name at the top right corner of your Desire2Learn Home page.
