Mesa Verde National Park:

"Cliff Palace"
The Cliff Palace in Mesa Verde were made by the Anasazi Indians. They lived in the cliff houses for less than a hundered years; and by 1300 Mesa Verde was deserted. This is a mystery because no one knows for sure why they left. It is thought that the depletion of the soil, forests, and animals by the Anasazi forced them to move on. Whatever happened, it seems likely that some Pueblo Indians today are descendents of the cliff dwellers of Mesa Verde.

Rocky Mountain National Park:

"The Rocky Mountains"                         " Some Wildlife"

The Rocky Mountains were spectacular and very high! When you drive through, you will see high wooden poles along the side of the road. It turns out that they are used as markers for snow plows, so they don't drive off the side of the road. In other words, they get lots of SNOW! The left picture is just some of the mountain range. The right picture are some of the wildlife we encountered at a rest stop on the way down the Rocky Mountains. As you can see, they were not too afraid of the tourists.
