Kumagawa

    The Kuma River is one of the three fastest flowing in Japan.  During the summer months, rides on Japanese boats can be taken through the rapids starting in the town of Hitoyoshi, an hour from Yatsushiro.  The river is noted for its sweet-tasting ayu fish.
