GEOGRAPHY COMPUTER LAB

The Geography computer lab is located in 223 Boebel. The lab was completely renovated in the summer of 2002. : New computers were added and older ones were upgraded to current technology. The Geography Lab features 17 - Pentium IV based computers, 10 digitizers, a HP flatbed scanner with  transparency adapter,  a CD writer, 2  laser printers (1 color), and a 36 inch HP Design Jet 755CM/PS color plotter.

We also have state of the art software including: AtlasGIS, ArcInfo, ArcView, MS Publisher, Freehand, TNT Image Processing, Surfer, and Adobe Photoshop. The lab also features drawing tables and equipment for drawing maps manually.

Classes taught in the lab include:  Cartography, GIS, Remote Sensing, Aerial Photography, and Advanced GIS. If you have any questions about the Geo-techniques classes  contact Todd Stradford.  STRADFOT@uwplatt.edu
