Geology Minor and Certificate in Geology

A certificate in Geology demonstrates a knowledge of the principles of the earth sciences.  It consists of four core classes.

A minor in Geology demonstrates a knowledge of the relationships between the earth sciences and other fields.  It provides students in reclamation, biology, engineering and other allied areas with a sound basis in geology essential for professional work.  Practical field experience emphasizes geological principles, geological history and environmental problems.  In consists of the four core courses and additional courses to total a minimum of twenty-four credits.
