What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?

I am very excited to be attending UW-Platteville next year. The things I am most excited about are pursuing my career, taking engineering classes, being involved in both the school and community, and all of the other experiences that are to come. I cannot wait to be able to focus my attention on my future career as a mechanical engineer. While at UW-Platteville, I will take classes that focus on my major. I am eager to learn, grow, and improve my skills along the way. While there, I will have so much support from other women who are interested in becoming engineers. I don't know any other ladies who want to be an engineer, so I am looking forward to making connections with those ladies who do. Just being around other women who are interested in the same things as me will keep me motivated and help me to maintain the desire to be the best that I can be. When I am attending UW-Platteville, I want to be very involved in school activities as well as the community. Although my studies will always come first, I believe that the best memories are made when you get involved. I plan to try out for the cheer squad, volunteer in the community, and participate in competitions and clubs. I am looking forward to enjoying my time at UW-Platteville and making the most of every day while keeping a balance between my academics and social life.
What interests and/or hobbies do you have?

I spend most of my time working, at practice, and volunteering. I am very lucky to have a youth apprenticeship in manufacturing at Marten Machining in Stockton (Central Wisconsin). I have been working there for a little over a year and a half. I look forward to every day of work, because I have been able to learn skills that most people my age don't have, which gives me a sense of pride in what I do. I am also on the varsity cheer squad. I tried out and made the team when I was a sophomore, and I have loved it since day one. It gives me a break from my busy life, and it can be a great stress reliever. I have always been very involved in my church and community. I love to volunteer, because it allows me to make somebody's day a little better. I have been on two mission trips to Peru, which have been life-changing. I work many community meals and fish fry's. Also, this is my fourth year teaching religious education. I have taught 4th and 5th grade classes, but am currently teaching the 9th grade confirmation class. I love being able to share my faith with others and to help them along their own personal faith journey. When I am not working, at practice, or volunteering, I like to spend time with my parents, siblings, and friends, and I love to be outdoors.
Rosabella's Thank You Note

I want to thank all of you for helping to make my time at college less stressful. It is amazing that people are willing to support students to pursue a higher education. Attending UW-Platteville is a dream come true for me. Not having to worry about finances makes it a lot easier and less stressful. Thank you for making it possible for me to achieve my goals, and for making my future brighter.

What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?

I am thrilled to be trying out for the Platteville cheer team and also looking more into becoming apart of a sorority personal.

I love to read, learn about French and I cheer a lot in my free time and also stunt when there is enough people to do so.
