What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?
I am excited to jump start my life journey at a college that will provide excellent programs for my field of study along with a great college experience. I can't wait to begin my Pioneer Journey.
What interests and/or hobbies do you have?
I come from a supportive family whose top priorities are faith and family. 4-H has helped me discover my passion for both agriculture and education. My projects are very diverse including horses, cattle, crops, tractors, veterinary science, public presentations, visual arts, sewing, shotgun, and public speaking. I am also a strong part of the county’s leadership. I am the federation president along with being my club secretary, an ambassador, and a junior leader. It is these leadership roles that mean so much to me. Coaching is even more rewarding than competing as you get to pass on your knowledge to kids who have the same passion. I hope to bring this love of equine to campus with me next year. Student athlete is something I pride myself in. I have received the Academic All Conference award both this year and last. I may be very involved in 4-H, my faith, and sports but I always keep my grades up. I am also an active part of National Honor Society which helps me to surround myself with others who also maintain good grades and a busy lifestyle.
Mary's Thank You Note
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for the community scholarship I received. Thank you so much for this generous gift that will aid in fuding my UW-Platteville Education.
