What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?

The thing that I am most excited about experiencing at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is joining the different clubs and organizations, meeting new people. I am also looking forward to attending student activities, sporting events, and the classes that I will be taking for my major, which is Forensic Science.

What interests and/or hobbies do you have?

Some interests and hobbies that I have are running, track and field, listening and playing music, making new friends, getting involved in multiple clubs, going to school sporting events, and traveling. There are many different things that I enjoy doing in my free time and I am always willing to experience new things.

Julie's Thank You Note

Thank you to the donors and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Foundation, because of your generous donation it has helped me afford the education that I will need next year as a freshman.  I'm excited to start my first year of college and attend the classes that are required for my intended major.  This scholarship will help me pay for my classes that will teach and guide me in my future career choice.  Thank you again for your generous donation to the Community Scholarship Program.

What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?

As an incoming freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville I am most excited about taking challenging courses that will prepare me for my future. I plan to get involved in a service club so that I can give back to my new community!

What interests and/or hobbies do you have?

I have really enjoyed volunteering my time at the capitol to better the pedestrian safety laws in Wisconsin. As an active member of the cycling community, it has been my goal since I was young to make the roads and pathways in our state safer for all users. Many of my fellow bicyclists have been seriously injured in accidents on state roads and this has fueled my passion to help all pedestrians in our state feel safer when using these roads. I also enjoy hiking, camping, playing my flute, and studying current events!

Maja's Thank You Note

I will be the first person in my family to pursue a college education and I have always been pushed by my parents to work hard in school and to always give back. Thanks to donors who also give back, my college education will be made possible. Thank you!
