What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?
After attending a small high school that offered limited academic opportunities, I am looking forward to a variety of challenging classes. Additionally, I look forward to the diversity of people and ideas. Hopefully, I will also be able to participate in an internship at some point in my studies.
What interests and/or hobbies do you have?
Although I spend 40 hours a week at work and am in school full time, I try to get a little hunting and fishing in during any spare time. I also have a husky puppy who needs a lot of attention and discipline.
Andrew's Thank You Note
As the youngest of four siblings, I have been able to watch my brothers and sister as they put themselves through college. And, upon graduation, they are saddled with a lot of debt. With that in mind, I have been trying to work a lot so that I can save money to pay as much as I can without taking loans. The scholarship will help toward my goal. It will also reduce the need for me to work so much during the academic year. Furthermore, it is encouraging to know that I was recognized for my high school efforts. Thank you for providing me with the scholarship.
