What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?
I am most excited for my Forensic Investigation classes and Psychology classes. They not only will further me in my major and minor but I find them both extremely interesting. I'm also excited to be involved with Hall Council, the Criminal Justice Association, and Circle K. In Hall Council I'll be able to discuss, with other members of my hall, things going on around campus, things we want to see happen, and much more! The Criminal Justice Association will allow me to meet with other people also majoring in Forensic Investigation and Criminal Justice. It will also guide me toward a suitable career in the future. In Circle K we do community service and I'm thrilled that I get to help out around the Platteville community.
What interests and/or hobbies do you have?
I'm going to be playing around on the volleyball courts they have scattered around campus to have fun and be active. Skating is going to be hard to do here without a rink but I'm going to try to get to Dubuque, Iowa a few times this summer to get back out on the ice. Working out is going to be come a hobby because I want to stay in shape and be healthy at college! I'm extremely interested in the Dance Team which I hope to try out for my second semester!
Nicole's Thank You Note
As I was leaving one of my classes I noticed I had an e-mail. I opened it and read that I had been nominated for a Hayward High School Community Scholarship that will be applied to my Fall semester. I had the biggest smile on my face. I was so excited and felt honored that I had been chosen for this award. I would like to thank everyone who was a part of this generous donation. It means so much to me because it shows that all my hard work and effort has paid off and I most definitely will work hard and give 100% effort in college. It will help greatly toward my studies at UW-Platteville! Thanks again! I appreciate it more than I can even express!
