New Pioneer Relief Fund assists UW-Platteville campus community affected by recent tornados

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville recently experienced the devastating power of an F2 tornado, which damaged Engineering Hall, Bridgeway Commons, Rountree Commons, Southwest Hall, Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium, and the Greenhouse. A Pioneer Relief Fund has been set up to assist the UW-Platteville campus community. Funds will be used to support students and displaced faculty and staff affected by the storm with needs such as food and/or water, temporary housing, clothing, and other supplies. To get this started, the UW-Platteville Foundation will be matching up to $10,000 in donations on a dollar-for-dollar basis, doubling the impact of your gift. To contribute to this fund, write in "Pioneer Relief Fund" under "Other Scholarships and Funds" when you use the Online Giving Form.

For other funds and scholarships, browse Foundation's list of funds and scholarships by category. If you find a fund or scholarship to which you would like to donate, you can enter the name of that fund or scholarship on the giving form when you donate online. Can't decide on a specific scholarship or fund? Then you might consider giving to the Pioneer Annual Fund, which is a general fund used to support the University of Wisconsin-Platteville's greatest needs.
