What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?
I am extremely excited about starting a new chapter in my life at UW-Platteville. After visiting the campus, I am impressed by what the campus all has to offer. In December I took a special tour of the Engineering department, and seeing all the classes that involve hands on application was incredible. The campus has many clubs, intramurals, and organizations in which I plan to get involved in to gain new experiences. I look forward to meeting new people, gaining independence and building a strong foundation for my future in Engineering.
What interests and/or hobbies do you have?
"I enjoy working with hands on projects, applying mathematical or scientific knowledge and skills. Building projects in class or working on engineering and quality aspects at my Youth Apprentice are also things I find of interest.
I am involved in various sports including football, basketball and baseball. I know my passion for these activities will help to keep me in shape and get involved at UW-Platteville. I also enjoy fishing and hunting, and spend as much time in the outdoors doing these activities as possible. These activities have brought me closer to family and friends, showed me how to enjoy the outdoors, and taught me that patient’s does pay off.
Owen's Thank You Note
I greatly appreciate this scholarship being made possible by your donations. I Thank You for your support in my future. Financing college is a large undertaking, and the support through scholarships is greatly appreciated to help relieve some of the stress. I know that donors of scholarships do not always get the recognition and thanks that they deserve, so please know that I do greatly appreciate your support. THANK YOU!
