In 2007, Liz came to the UW-Platteville Foundation with over 15 years of fundraising experience; the last eight years in higher education. As Director of Development, Major Gifts, Liz meets with Trustees, alumni, and friends of UWP to match their philanthropic interests with a growing campus. She facilitates donors with a variety of gift options, including major gifts, planned gifts, capital gifts, and endowment gifts. She also works with the College of Liberal Arts and Education to build support for their programs. In addition, Liz assists with major grant proposals for UW-Platteville.
Liz was born and raised on a farm in Northeast Iowa. Since college, she has lived in Iowa, Montana, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Her husband Karl is a minister and they have four children. Liz has written weekly columns for several newspapers and has published numerous stories. She has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and more recently studies Tai Chi. She also teaches grant proposal writing classes.
