What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?

I am most excited about becoming a more independent, confident individual.  I want to meet new people and get involved in the resident assistant program.  On my free time, intramural sports will keep me entertained.  I am also excited to meet my random roommate!

What interests and/or hobbies do you have?

My biggest hobbies would have to be playing sports and having fun with family and friends.  Basketball, running, water skiing, tubing, being outside, shopping, watching netflix, and baking in the kitchen are some of my favorite activities.  I am a huge people person and love spending my time with others.  Coaching youth teams and babysitting is also considered a positive, in my day.

Dear Darlington High School Community Scholarship Fund,

I am writing you this letter to thank you for the generous $500 Darlington High School Community Scholarship.  I am honored and appreciative to learn that I was selected as a recipient of this outstanding award.  My dream of attending UW-Platteville is quickly becoming a reality, and I am excited to embark on the next chapter of my life.  Your support for others’ education is inspiring.

Currently, I am a senior at Darlington High School, and I will graduate this May.  Throughout high school, I have maintained a high GPA while staying heavily involved in extracurricular activities. My goal is to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a degree in elementary education. The financial assistance that the Darlington High School Community Scholarship provides will help lighten my financial burden.

It is an honor to receive the Darlington High School Community Scholarship.  Because of your generosity, I have come closer to reaching my dream goal of becoming an elementary educator.  After I obtain a teaching position, my hope is to give back to the communities that have helped me achieve my endeavors.
