What are you most excited about starting or experiencing at UW-Platteville?

I am excited about being on my own. I want to know how it feels to be on my own and what it is really like living on my own. I want to be able to be independent and not have my parents guiding me on everything that I do. I want the college experience of being out on my own and not having people telling me I can and cannot do. I want to push myself to do my best in school without someone telling me how to do it.

What interests and/or hobbies do you have?

I love being outdoors; hunting is a very important part of my life. I spend countless hours in the woods. Hunting is such a big part of my life because it brings my father and I closer. We always hunt together. We never go without each other. I cherish every moment we get to spend together whether we are hunting or fishing because I know that he is not going to be here forever.

Brandon's Thank You Note

Thank you for this community scholarship. All the money that I can receive for college will be a big help. This money will be used to help me pay for the things that my family is unable to pay for at the moment. I am looking forward to my freshman year at Platteville, I can’t wait to meet all of the new people and experience college at its highest level and I feel that Platteville will give me that experience.
