Mark graduated from UW-Platteville in 1984 with a major in business administration and in 1996 he received his certificate from the Graduate School of Banking at UW-Madison. Mark is the President and CEO of Wind River Financial Inc. located in Madison, Wis. Mark is a board member and loan committee chair for the Madison Development Corporation, board member for the MDC Venture Loan Fund, advisor to Forward Communities Inc., and a member of Madison College’s Business and Finance Curriculum Advisory Board. In the past he has served as a member of the UW-Platteville Alumni Association Board, American Red Cross, Four Lakes Council of Boy Scouts, Easter Seals, YMCA of Dane County, and the Madison West Kiwanis Club. Mark currently resides in Poynette with his wife Celeste. They have two children: Christina (UW-Milwaukee 2000) and Aaron (UW-Madison 2006).

Margaret graduated from UW-Platteville in 1984, with majors in accounting and business administration with a finance emphasis. Margaret is currently the Director of Business Management for the Chief Administrative Officer at CUNA Mutual Group, where she has been employed for 30 years. CUNA Mutual Group is the leading provider of insurance and financial services to credit unions and their members. The company is also a leader in the small-business retirement plan services market and one of the largest crop insurers in the U.S. Prior to her current role, Margaret served as the vice president – Transaction Support in the Corporate Development department. She led the project to convert CUNA Mutual to a mutual holding company structure in 2012. She has led numerous merger, acquisition, and divestiture projects for the company. Margaret also served as the vice president – Internal Audit from 1998–2001.

Erin is a 2003 graduate of UW-Platteville with a degree in mechanical engineering. She was very involved in various activities and organizations as a student including SWE, ASME, Tau Beta Pi, Student Ambassadors, tour guide, Phi Kappa Phi, and Pi Tau Sigma. She studied abroad in Australia while a student. Professionally she is involved with the Society of Women Engineers, Young Professionals, ASME, and SAE and is a member for the UW-Platteville Foundation Board of Directors. Erin is currently an Engineering Supervisor for Excavators Outside of the Americas. She has been in this position since 2010. Prior to that she was a product engineer II at John Deere working on 4WD Loader Cabs. Jesse, her husband, is also a mechanical engineering graduate of UW-Platteville. Erin and Jesse have three daughters. Erin grew up in Prairie du Chein, Wis., and currently resides in Dubuque, Iowa.

Dave is the Co-Owner and Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Unison Solutions Inc., which is located in Dubuque, Iowa. Prior to starting Unison Solutions in 2000, Dave worked 13 years for Alliant Energy in various engineering, operations, and management positions. Dave and his wife Rhonda have two children; Steve is a senior at UW-Madison and Trisha is a junior at UW-Platteville.
Scott S. Baumgartner

Scott graduated from UW-Platteville in 1972 with a major in vocal music education. Following graduation, Scott was employed at UW-Platteville for 10 years, first serving as associate director of the student center/director of student activities and ultimately stepping down from his position as director of Student Financial Aid in order to attend graduate school. Scott earned a Master of Higher Education Administration/College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and relocated to Chicago, Ill., upon graduation. He began work in Financial Aid at Rush University, a component of Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center and then took a position in charge of the Student Financial Aid office at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. After several years, Scott was named assistant dean of Student Academic Services in the College of Nursing at the Medical Center, where he served for many years. Scott completed his career in higher education by serving as director of Community Relations and Special Events at Midwestern University. In 2001 Scott left higher education and started up a marine services business in the recreational boating harbors of Chicago. Being an avid sailor, Scott served on the Board and as Commodore of the Belmont Yacht Club and he also served for two years as the Commodore of the Chicago Yachting Association, an organization focused on boater safety and education. He currently serves on the Board of the Chicago Harbor Safety Council, a collaborative effort with the City of Chicago and the United States Coast Guard. Scott is retired and continues to live in Chicago with wife Dr. Mary Lee. He has two adult sons, Chris and Justin, who also live in Chicago, along with two grandchildren..
Lawson "Skip" Clark
Graduation Year: 1970
Skip retired from an active business career in 2009. He graduated from UW-Platteville in 1970, with a comprehensive degree in business administration and economics (finance emphasis). Additionally, he attended Iowa State University. While working, he belonged to industry related organizations and attended many career related academic programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as technically related seminars in other cities around the country.The majority of his working life was spent as a construction services administrator for a large regional hospital where his responsibilities included all of the new construction and remodeling for the total system. He designed and built with his construction team such projects as major hospital area remodels, medical office buildings, operating suites of all types, pharmacies, medical offices, MRIs, imaging special procedure rooms with Cat scanners, nuclear medicine and heart care facilities. Concurrently, he invested in distressed residential property which he restored for the purpose of renting and eventual resale. Additionally, he worked as a sales representative for national building materials supplier, a carpenter and a remodeling and restoration contractor specializing in the restoration of historic homes. He spent six years in the United States Army Reserve as a Senior Construction Superintendent. Post retirement, he served as a director for six years in the UW-Platteville Alumni Association Board as well as a commissioner on the City of Mount Vernon, Iowa Historical Preservation Commission. Skip enjoys his collectible cars and researching automotive history. He has a large collection of power and hand tools, enjoying the history and architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, historical structure preservation, and distance bicycling. Skip and his wife Linda live in Mount Vernon, Iowa and have three children and seven grandchildren..

Joseph graduated from UW-Platteville in 1982. He is the Vice President and General Manager of WFRV-TV (CBS) in Green Bay, Wis. Joe is a board member of the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, a board member of Advance Green Bay Area Economic Development, a board member of the Salvation Army of Brown County, and a member of the Parish Council of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. In the past he has served as a member of the UW-Platteville Broadcasting Advisory Council, FOX Broadcasting Board of Governors, Iowa Broadcasters Association Board, Rockford Area Economic Development Corporation, Rockford Junior Achievement Board, Rockford Discovery Center Board, Rockford Area United Way committee, Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce committee, Dubuque Council for Diversity, and Dubuque Salvation Army Advisory Council. Joe currently resides in Green Bay with his wife Kathy (UW-Platteville 1982). They have two daughters: Jennifer (University of Miami, Fla. 2009) and Jodi (Marquette University 2011).

Thomas graduated from UW-Platteville in 1973 with a major in agriculture business. While at UW-Platteville, Tom was a charter member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. In 1975 Tom purchased his family farm from his father in Woodman, Wis., and has farmed for the last 39 years. Tom retired from People's State Bank in 2011 as the senior vice president located in Prairie du Chien, Wis. Thomas currently serves as a director for Bloomington Farmers Mutual Company. In the past he served as the Lancaster School Board President for ten years, on the Advisory Council for Dairy Herd Management at Southwest Technical College, on the CESA Three Board of Control (served as treasurer), and he was a director and past president of the Wisconsin Ag Bankers Association. In 1994, along with his brothers, he established the Friar Family Scholarship that supports a student from the School of Agriculture. Tom currently resides in Lancaster, Wis., with his wife Judy (Adams) Friar (UW-Platteville class of 1973) and continues to operate Friar Farms. They have three children: Jessica, Katie, and Jonathan.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from UW-Platteville in 1972 and his JD from Marquette Law School in 1977. After graduating from law school in 1977 Jim became a partner at Cramer, Multhauf & Hammes, LLP. His area of expertise is civil litigation with an emphasis in municipal law. He is affiliated with the State Bar of Wisconsin, Waukesha County Bar Association, Bar Association Grievance Committee and Fee Arbitration Dispute Committees. Jim resides in Waukesha, Wis. with his wife Pamela (Miller) Hammes. Pamela graduated from UW-Platteville in 1972 with a major in Elementary Education. Jim and Pamela have three children: Molly (Adam) Marshall of Nashotah, Wis., Annie (Justin) Staebler of Delafield, Wis., and Christopher (Jasmin) Hammes of Verona, Wis.

Steve graduated from UW-Platteville in 1974 with a Business/Economics degree and UW-Oshkosh in 1977 with an MBA. Steve was a partner with Baker Tilly for 40 years and is now retired. Steve and his wife Margie have three children: Ryan, who works at GE in Houston, Kersten who is an attorney in Kansas City and Lauren who is pursuing masters in social work at Loyola University. Steve also has a yellow lab named Cooper who is his hunting/fishing partner in crime. Steve was involved with the Special Olympics of Wisconsin for 10 years as a board member and board chair and also the Taliesin Preservation as a board member and treasurer.

Michael graduated from UW-Platteville in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Michael also joined IIW, P.C. (www.iiwengr.com) in 1987 and now serves as a Chief Executive Officer/Principal Civil and Structural Engineer responsible for managing an 80 person engineering, architectural, and surveying professional consulting firm with headquarters located in Dubuque, Iowa, and branch offices in Davenport, Iowa; Hazel Green, Wis.; and St. Cloud, Minn. Duties include leading a management team responsible for strategic planning, operations, firm culture, core values, growth, leadership development, and ownership transition. IIW, P.C. received a Top 10 National Ranking by Zweig White “Best Firms to Work For” in the Multi-Discipline Category in 2013. Michael has been Principal in charge of structural and civil engineering for numerous complex and multi-discipline/multi-phase projects involving bridges, underground structures, multi-story commercial and institutional buildings, industrial buildings, commercial and industrial land development, water storage and treatment facilities, wastewater storage and treatment facilities, waterfront development, and earth retention systems. He has expertise in the analysis and design of primary and secondary framing systems comprised of structural steel, cold formed steel, reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, masonry, wood, aluminum, fiberglass and composite construction, grading design and earthwork analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, storm water management systems, traffic circulation and pavement design, and wet utility analysis and design.
Michael is a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois and a Licensed Structural Engineer in Illinois. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois. Michael has served in numerous volunteer community organizations. He is currently a member of the East Dubuque Savings Bank Board of Directors and a volunteer with the Dubuque Railroad Museum and Cultural Center Board of Directors. Michael has been married to Paula for 28 years and they reside in Hazel Green, Wis. They have four children: Heather, Tyler, Haley, and Tanner.

Chris is the manager of Platteville High School Class of 1967 Scholarship Fund, a former member of Zoning Board of Appeals, the Green Trails Improvement Associate President, and a state representative of Children's Service Society. Christina enjoys cooking, reading, painting, and entertaining. She has two children, Rachel, and Emily.

Jill graduated from UW-Platteville in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Comprehensive Business and Economics. Jill spent most of her career in the retirement industry first with CIGNA Retirement & Investment Services and more recently with Prudential Financial. Jill retired as vice president of operations with Prudential Retirement in December 2012. Retirement finds Jill busy with a number of volunteer activities. She presently serves as the Advisory Board Chair of the Benton Community Fund, Vice Chair of Crescent Community Health Center Board of Directors, member of Benton Community Development Corporation, and coordinator of Religious Education at St. Patrick's Church. She has previously served as board member for Dubuque Main Street, the Benton Public Library, and the UW-Platteville College of BILSA Advisory Board. Jill currently resides in Benton with her husband Bob (UW-Platteville 1977). They have three sons, Ryan (Luther College 2005), Kyle (Luther College 2007), and Casey (Edgewood College 2012), and one grandson.

Eugene Laschinger graduated from UW-Platteville in 1975 with a major in civil engineering and in 1978 he received his master’s in engineering from Marquette University. Eugene presently is the President of Town & Country Engineering located in Madison, Wis. In the past he has served as a member of the UW-Platteville Alumni Association, served on the UW-Platteville Alumni Board for several years, and has severed many years as the treasurer for the Sigma Tau Gamma Alumni Association. Eugene has served on the Verona Utility Board, member of both the Wastewater Operators Association and Rural Water, and is a lifetime member of the Wastewater Operators Association. Eugene and Julie are members of St. Andrews Church and a member of Knights of Columbus. Eugene resides in Verona, Wis., with his wife Julie. Sigrid graduated from UW-Platteville in 1973 with a degree in elementary education (K-6) and went on to UW-La Crosse where she graduated with a Master of Education in Professional Development in 1987. She was an educator for 36 years at the primary level for the Viroqua Area School District. While teaching, she served one year as the building principal at Liberty Pole Elementary and was team leader for a time in both kindergarten and first grade at Viroqua Elementary. Lind was a member of VEA and CRUE and is a lifetime member of WEAC-R and NEA-R. She belongs to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and is a substitute teacher and a volunteer at Vernon Memorial Hospital Gift Shop. In the past, she has served on the Board of Directors as a member and chairperson for the Viroqua Day Care Learning Center and was a member and president of Kappa Alpha Sigma sorority at UW-Platteville..

He is currently a Vice President, Portfolio Strategist at Madison Investment Advisors LLC, located in Madison, Wis., where he offers institutional clients the necessary insights, knowledge, and perspectives to better understand financial markets as he collaborates with both clients and team members in crafting unique investment solutions.
Prior to joining Madison, he devoted three years to working with CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals, as director of Society Strategy and Design. In this role, he assisted local CFA societies with developing strategies to maximize the value delivered to their members, member service standards, and funding models. During his tenure, Jeff gained international business experience by living and working in both Hong Kong and London and visiting over 25 countries. Formerly, Jeff was a fixed income portfolio manager at American Family Mutual Insurance for 14 years and managed portfolios totaling $3.2 billion.
Jeff serves on his employer’s charity, expense, and business continuity committees. He is a minority owner of his spouse’s professional administrative services business. Previously, he served as a Presidents Council Representative (PCR) for CFA Institute and served CFA Society of Madison in various capacities including president, program chair, and membership chair. Jeff, along with his wife Brenda, resides in Waunakee, Wis., and has two step-daughters and two grandchildren.

Mary is the Funding Administrator and a Project Manager at MSA Professional Services Inc. in the corporate offices located in Baraboo, Wis. She is a lifetime member of the UW-Platteville Alumni Association, and a member of the Wisconsin Wastewater Operators Association. She is currently the Missions Board Chairman at Walnut Hill Bible Church in Baraboo, and is a member of the WIDNR NR166 Code Advisory Board. She has previously served on the boards of the “Girls with Goals” Hockey Boosters, and the Baraboo High School Soccer Boosters. Mary currently resides in Baraboo with her husband Dan (P.E., 1974 UW-Platteville BS-Civil Engineering, 1975 Wheaton College Certificate, 1977 Purdue University MS- Structural Engineering). He is in his 40th year of his career in finance and is currently employed by Badgerland Financial in Dodgeville, Wis., as a Credit Analyst. He specializes in commercial and agricultural finance. Tom's wife is an R.N. at the Monroe Clinic and has been in nursing for 38 years. She works in the day surgery unit. They have two sons, Jon, 28, who is a Lab Scientist at PPD in Middleton, Wis., and Eric, 26, who graduated from UW-Platteville with a degree in biochemistry and is a fourth year pharmacy student at UW-Madison.

Kevin graduated from UW-Platteville in 1980 with an agri-business degree. Kevin is President and CEO of Wisconsin Bank and Trust with nine branch offices in Wisconsin. Kevin is or has been involved in board positions with the Wisconsin Main Street and Sheboygan Falls Main Street boards, NEW Community Shelter, treasurer of Reggie and Sara White’s Urban Hope (Green Bay), chairman of Advance, among others. In 2001 Kevin was recognized as the Wisconsin SBA’s Financial Services Advocate of the Year. Kevin and his wife Deb reside in Green Bay. They have three children: Tyler (UW-SP 2007) Denver, Megan (UW-L 2009/MSU 2012) Bozeman, and Andy in LA.

Brock graduated Summa Cum Laude from the UW-Platteville in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He had a finance emphasis and Spanish minor and was a Gilman Scholar. He also holds two degrees from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in computer information systems which are the programmer analyst and microcomputer specialist degrees. Brock owns Fundunity LLC, which specializes in management and business consulting, interim CEO services, business model development, search engine optimization and analytics, and social media/social listings consulting. He is also the Coordinator of the Pioneer Launch lab, which is a venture on the UW-Platteville campus that helps current and recent students launch their own businesses by helping them in the search for scalable and repeatable business models and offering consulting and networking opportunities. He comes from a family of entrepreneurs and his parents own Lumber Land LLC, which is a farm equipment repair business specializing in chopper box repair located near Boscobel, Wis. In the past, he worked as a senior programmer/analyst with Lands' End, financial institution specialist with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), futures and options market specialist with efutures.com, and SCUBA diving instructor in the Caribbean and Thailand. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Platteville Main Street program, has been the Wisconsin State President for the Business Professionals of America and CEO of the Pioneer Investment Club, and has a Series 3 license. Brock enjoys travel and has traveled within the United States as well as to 30 countries including areas like, Central and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific. He spent almost three cumulative years on the road during a mid-20s "retirement." Brock lives in Platteville, with his wife Becky who also graduated from UW-Platteville and who runs Platteville Massage Therapy LLC.

Art is the Director of Sales at FIPCO that is located in Madison, Wis. Weber currently participates in the McFarland Education Foundation (Board of Directors), Optimist Club (member) and the McFarland Community Development Authority (member). In the past he has participated in the McFarland Zoning Board of Appeals, McFarland Family Festival Parade, Christ the King Parish, and the McFarland Cub Scouts. Art currently resides in McFarland with his wife Cynthia (Lease) who received her degree in Education from UW-Platteville in 1984 as well as her master’s degree from UW-Platteville. Art and Cynthia have three children: Calvin, Alyse, and Austin.

John graduated from UW-Platteville in 1976 with a degree in civil engineering. John is the Executive Vice President and Director of Operations for Clark Dietz Inc. Clark Dietz has offices in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. John has served as the president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Wisconsin. Besides his 30 years of experience in the industry, he is a member of the American Water Works Association, the Water Environment Federation, and the American Public Works Association. He is a past chairman of the town of Bristol Plan Commission and chairman of the St. Scholastica Church Building Committee. After a number of years of service on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Alumni Board, John has joined the Foundation Board. He resides in Bristol, Wis., with his wife, Barbara (Bishop), also a UW-Platteville grad and they have two children, Amy (UW-Platteville 2004) and Adam (UW-Madison 2006).

John graduated from UW-Platteville in 1975 with a degree in general sciences/chemistry. John is the President and Managing Partner of Affiliated Dentists in Madison, Wis. The ROTC Program at UW-Platteville was the source of his Army commission. Upon graduation from Marquette School of Dentistry, John completed a General Practice Residency in the Military. After 24 years, he retired from the U.S. Army after completing many clinical and military roles. As his dental organization grew, John completed a MBA at Northwestern University. John has been involved with many community and civic projects. He and his wife, Terry, have three adult daughters: Kate, Lou, and Jenny.
