Biographical Information:
Rebekah Demaree has wide experience as a concert soloist and recitalist. She has appeared as soprano soloist with the Classical Music Festival in Austria performing Haydn’s Heiligmesse, Schopfungsmesse and Paukenmesse and Schubert’s Der Hirt auf dem Felsen. Demaree has recitalized throughout the United States, including concerts in Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Washington and Wisconsin. A graduate of Indiana University and the University of Idaho, Demaree coached extensively with John Wustman and was one of the singers involved in the six-year song recital series that toured and performed all of Franz Schubert’s lieder from 1990-1997. She has appeared as guest soloist with the Spokane Symphony, Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, Elkhart Symphony, and the Washington/Idaho Symphony, as well as a number of collegiate orchestras.
Ms. Demaree’s vocal studio at UWP is comprised of 24 majors and minors. Her students have competed at NATS competitions and the UWP Concerto/Aria competition, where they have won both the collegiate and high school divisions. She also maintains a private voice studio at home.
