The careers open to graduates in art are varied and numerous. The skills developed during the art major course sequence serve as a launching point to many different opportunities. Some of the more traditional careers which proceed from an art background include:

- Craftsman
- Gallery Director

- Illustrator
- Digital Media Artist
- Animator

- Type Designer
Some of our graduates with a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Art have used their background in advancing their education in graduate school in fine arts, art history and in the graphic arts. Many art majors obtain a teaching certificate to specialize in K-12 art instruction. A number of graduates have been placed in teaching positions and design positions in our immediate area and beyond.
