These scholarships are available to students with majors or minors in CT or are involved in related organizations.
- Dr. George Smith WSUP Broadcasting Scholarship
- One must be a WSUP staff member and in good academic standing. Must write a 600 word or less on “How their experience in radio will enhance their career options”. Special application required. Stop by the Financial Aid Office for the application.
- Morris Newspapers of Wisconsin Scholarship in Journalism
- One must be a communications Technology major. Must have completed 60 credits. Participation in extra-curricular activities and/or job related to journalism and or graphic arts is desired. Preference given to students graduating from the following counties:
- Wisconsin: Crawford, Grant, Iowa or Lafayette
- Iowa: Dubuque and Clayton
- Illinois: JoDaviess
- Philip Buchanan
- Preparing for a career in print communications, involvement with student publications, academic achievement.
- Reed/Kendall International Study Scholarship
- One must be a Communication Technology major who has earned 30 or more credits; must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Interested applicants must submit a 600-word essay answering the question “How will an international experience enhance your career goals?” Special application required. Stop by the Financial Aid Office for the application.
- Virgil R. Pufahl End. Scholarship in Communication Technologies
- Recipient shall be enrolled as a Communication Technologies major, based on scholarship, leadership, participation in graphic communication activities and financial need.
- Lucas Smith Memorial Scholarship
- One must be a Radio/TV major and be in his/her junior class. The award shall be based on the student's academic performance, involvement in campus activities and financial need.
- Paul Gauger Memorial Scholarship
- One must be an active member of WSUP radio. The recipient shall have provided meritorious service to WSUP radio. One must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
