Buildings and Grounds Maintenance
The Facilities Management Customer Service Desk is a single point of contact for managing, processing, and controlling maintenance, custodial, and grounds keeping services at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Every effort will be made to process your request in a timely and professional manner. To accomplish this, we ask that you contact the Service Desk with your needs and avoid calling the individual shops and work centers. This will allow us to properly document and process your request as well as provide accurate answers to your questions.
For all e-mail and phone work requests please include the following information:
- Location: Building and Room Number
- Contact information: Name, phone number, and e-mail address
- Work Description: Details on what service needs to be provided
- Account number: All chargeback work needs an account number to initiate a work request.
For emergency work requests during business hours, please contact the Service Desk at 608.342.1155 so we can respond to the situation immediately.
For after-hours emergency work requests, please contact University Police at 608.342.1584 and speak with dispatch personnel. They will contact the appropriate staff for response.
Facilities Management will be undergoing an upgrade to its computerized maintenance management system over the next six months. The end result will be a state of the art system for managing the maintenance of our facilities and improved customer service for our campus customers. See memo for additional details.
