1. Mesut announced that $10,000 was received by the EE Department from WE Energies.† This money will be used for faculty support and $2000 will be a scholarship.

Recruitment/Alumni Event ParticipationóMesut wanted to know if the Recruiting Office had an estimated number of visits planned and the possibility of being able to have advance notification for participation purposes.† Discussion centered around each department being responsible to attend a minimum of two of these events per year.† Lisa will follow up with Ruth Joyce.
ListóRecently the GPA requirement for BILSA has been changed to 3.75 in order
to make the Deanís list.† LA&E has
been at 3.75 for a number of years.† Discussion

Women in Engineering Career Day is being planned for April 18th.† There are only 30 registrations at this time but the event will still be held.† ME/IE will do a combined session for a total of 40 minutes.† Tammy encourage other departments to share a 40 minute session rather any only 20 minutes each.† Tammy will email times for discipline sessions.
